For a Thanksgiving craft, we made Indian vests, Indian neclaces, and Indian headbands. Then we sang Turkey songs. These children are bringing me so much joy! I have a great group of children to watch and I am very thankful for each and every one of them!
Thanksgiving Hockey Tournament Valley Forge Colonials Bantams Brandon's team won the championship! It was a fun and exciting weekend. VFC played five other competitive teams. The championship game against Old Bridge Knights (NJ) was a nailbitter. VFC was winning 4-1 in the second period, but Old Bridge came back to tie it. The game went into overtime!! Brandons teammate and friend, Zak F. scored the winning goal for VFC! They won 5-4! Congrats to VFC!
My hockey man is the one laying in the front!
Every Wednesday during tourist season Ocean City, NJ has face painting, clowns making balloons, crafts and other fun things for the kids to do. Max was a happy princess. Morgan was upset that her balloon fell apart... from a bunny to a snake.
Todd and I took a tour of the East Point Light House off the Maurice River during our beach trip to New Jersey. It was partially destoryed in 1971 by a fire, but rebuilt by the historical society. It's charming appeal makes you step back in time and you can imagine yourself there as the oil lamps are being lit to warn incoming ships. Looking out the window you had a beautiful view of the ocean. The smell of the salt water and call of seagulls gave the added appeal to the scene.
Brandon and a few of his teammates from Valley Forge Colonials spent a week at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY to attend a hockey camp. Brandon was excited to spend five days in a college dorm and eat college food!

Heather and I decided to cool off with the zamboni shavings by throwing snowballs.
We have been hit by two major storms. The first storm came last week and we got about 16" - 18" of snow. The second storm began last night and hasn't stopped in almost 12 hours. We are expected to get between 18"-24" from this storm. All I know is that the snow is up to our mailbox! The boys are having a GREAT time! They have been snowboarding, sledding and making igloos. Ahhhh! to be young again!
We have four cars in our driveway.
We had a New Years Eve party at our house. Friend and family came to celebrate the ringing in of the new year! The kids played games, xbox and the older boys took a walk around the neighborhood with blowhorns tooting away. Some of the adults played poker and me, I drank wine! Wahoo! Me and my best friend, Heather. My niece, Max. My sister, Tiffani and her stepdaughter, Faith. Ahren's friend, John (who we lovingly refer to as our 4th son). My friend, Karen.
I used to be a hockey mom. A role that defined me for many years. However, I am much more than that. I am a wife to a great guy. A mom to 3 amazing boys. I am a Scrapbook Junkie. Photography novice.
