Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Do you put Christmas decorations in every room of your house? If not every room, what rooms do you decorate?

Not every room.  I do not do the bathrooms (unless you count the Santa hand towels), nor do I do the bedrooms.  Every other room in the house is decorated.

2. If you could visit one of the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) which one would you choose and why?

Sweden.  I think it would be cool to stay at the IceHotel and see IceMoose!

3. What does the word faith mean to you?

Faith is my middle name.

My Favorite Faith Quote:
When you put faith, hope and love together, you can raise positive kids in a negative world.
 Zig Ziglar quotes

4. You can go back to your childhood for one day...what day and age would you choose?

I think around 7 or 8 before my parents divorced.  I cannot really think of a particular day.  But I used to love spending time with my Nanny.

5. When did you last have 'punch'? If it's not too much trouble share your favorite punch recipe.

Thanksgiving.  I would share, but my mother-in-law makes it and I haven't a clue what the ingredients are.

6. Do you fill stockings at your house? Are stockings opened before or after the bigger gifts?

My husband is in charge of the stocking stuffers.  We usually open them after the bigger gifts.  The boys are so excited to see what is under the tree, they tend to forget about the stockings.  =)

7. What takes your breath away?

The sight of snow falling, and the earth covered in a white blanket, icicles hanging from tree branches, the sun shinning bright, and the peace that follows a snow storm.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

If you counted all the gifts that were given in the song “Twelve Days of Christmas” you would realize that the number of gifts being presented were 364 in total, thus a gift was given for each day of the year.

  2. Thanks for your prayers for my niece. She is having a bone marrow transplant three days before Christmas.

My girls would never forget the stockings...I think they prefer them to the bigger gifts : )

  4. Just read this HODGEPODGE on another page, too. I enjoyed all your answers. Curious why you don't decorate your bedroom for Christmas? Faith is a beautiful name. You were lucky to be blessed with it. What takes your breath away, filled me with joy, when I read your answer. Once upon a time, I viewed winter like that. Take care.

  5. I don't know why I don't decorate it. I guess because my mom never did, so I didn't think of it until I started reading everyone else's answers. =)
