Friday Fragments

Thank you Mrs. 4444 for hosting Friday Fragments.

This week was a special but also a tough one.

~We celebrated my middle son's birthday and my best friends birthday.  It is hard to believe that my son has turned 17.  I remember him as a newborn in my arms and the baby smell when I cuddled with him.  Where has the time gone?

~My husband sent me flowers (no, he didn't do anything wrong - haha).  He has been working long hours and he knew how emotionally hard this week has been.
The flowers were definitely a pick-me-up.

~Youngest son has been sick on and off for over a week.  I took him to the doctors on Wednesday. He has a sinus infection and an upper respiratory infection.  He has been loaded up with antibiotics and is finally starting to feel better.

~My friends husband, Chad and I planned a surprise 40th birthday dinner for his wife and my best friend, Heather.  We invited on other couple to go.  You will have to wait until next week to find more details.  I don't want to spoil it since Heather reads my blog.  Anyhoo... Another couple that we are all friendly with told us they were going out of town that weekend, so they were not invited.  Once the wife found out about it, she began a tirade about not being included.  I won't go into the non-stoping text messages Chad and I received over the her issue.  This person then began texting Heather, therefore ruining the surprise.  I was heartbroken.

~Tomorrow Heather and I are going shopping for new dresses to wear to tomorrow's dinner.  I am looking forward to that.

Happy Weekend!

  3. Tell Brandon I said not to eat any sugar! It just makes the sickness worse! Make him take lots and lots of garlic and put onions in his socks! And,again, NO SUGAR!!!! I know what i'm talking about! :)
