Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Aloha! On August 21, 1959 Hawaii officially became a US state. Have you ever been? Upon arrival would you prefer an orchid or a hibiscus to tuck behind your ear?
Never been to Hawaii.  I would prefer an Orchid.  My favorite wish would be to see the WWII Memorial in Pearl Harbor.

2. Since we're talking tropical...what's your favorite food or beverage made with pineapple?
I make a mean Pineapple stuffing!  Usually when I make a ham dinner.  Not a favorite of my boys. Oh well, More for me!!!

3. Do you believe in soul mates? Explain.
Yes I do.  I believe that there is someone out there for everyone.  Someone who compliments your personality and vice versus.  Someone who loves you for you, good or bad, thick or thin.  Someone who understand your quirks and laughs at them instead of being annoyed.  Someone you can say is your spouse, but even more - your best friend!

4. Share a memory about the house you grew up in.
My first childhood home was a small rancher.  The basement was huge and it was where the toys were.  My sisters and I had a green kitchen set.  Yep, green!  It was the 1970s after all.

5. Are you comfortable with silence?
Yes.  Noise from the TV, people taking, and kids shouting in small doses can be okay.  All at once is WAY to much for this chick to handle.

6. You spot a giant spider on your bedroom wall...what's your next move? (all spiders are giant, right?)
After I scream… After I shriek for my husband… I grab a can of Raid and spray the shit out of it!

7. My idea of fun does NOT include ______________.
Roller coasters, low budget horror films, not seeing your BFF for a week and finding your bottle of wine is empty.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
My niece is in the hospital, she lost a lot of blood.  Please say prayers for her.

  2. Yes, I would love to see that memorial also. Yes green was a common kitchen color back then!
I do like roller coasters but the empty wine bottle would make me made too. Praying for your niece. ((HUGS)) Did you know you are a no-reply so I cannot comment back to you?

    1. I think I fixed the no-reply thing. I had an old email and I changed it to my current one. Hopefully that worked.

  5. Joyce mentioned pineapple stuffing, too ... I'd never heard of pineapple stuffing.

I am not a fan of roller coasters either.

    Praying for your niece.
