Wednesday Hodgepodge #100

Join in the fun of Wednesday Hodgepodge.
Tell us a bit about yourself.

1. What creeps you out?
Since it's halloween: Creepy, greasy, leering, bad teeth, smelly men.  Gives me the chills!

2. What's your least favorite candy?
Peppermint Patties.

3. Are you a fan of scary movies?  What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?
I really wasn't a fan of scary movies until recently.  I watched Freddy Kruger as a teenager and it freaked me out.  Now watching it, I laugh! It was so poorly made compared to today's horror flicks.
4. What part of life confuses you the most?
Confuses?  Hmmmm, my son's math homework???  I cannot think of anything.

5. Pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, poppy...what's your favorite seed?
I used to like sunflower seeds when my son, Zachary played baseball.  I like sesame seeds on sesame chicken, I like poppy seeds on muffins, and pumpkin seeds baked in the oven are a wonderful treat during the fall season.  I don't think I favor one over the other.

6. Imagine your life ten years from today...what's changed?
My sons are happy - whether that be with profession, love/spouse, possibly even children of their own.
My husband and I are retired - traveling a bit and possibly even enjoying a grandchild. ;-D

7.  What do you a) love the most and b) like the least about the Hodgepodge?
That's not a fair question Joyce! ;-)
a) I love getting to know people thru the little tidbits. Personalities show through their words. I feel blessed to 'hear' their stories.
b) I honestly do not know if there is anything I don't like about Hodgepodge. That may seem lame or like I am being a kiss-ass. Honestly, it is the truth!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Our home was lucky and only suffered minor damage to our siding due to Hurricane Sandy.  Some people in our area were not so lucky.  They suffered major damage and a lot do not have power or water.  I am saddened by the devastation New York and New Jersey has suffered.  We vacation at the NJ shore every year and it is heart-breaking to see so much damage to a place you love.  I am keeping the entire region in my prayers.

  2. I don't care for Peppermint Patties either. ;-)

My heart breaks for the damage that Sandy did ... to the beaches, to homes and other properties, to peoples' lives. I'm praying, too.

  4. I'm not a fan of peppermint patties either, and here I thought I was the only one. :) And even though I work with math just about every day, it still confuses me. Thankful you didn't have much damage from Sandy. It's so sad what people are going through, I've been praying like crazy.

  5. Slowly but surely working my way around to the Hodgepodges from last week. Still much damage here, but school is back in session starting tomorrow. Still roads the buses can't get down due to low hanging wires, etc but they're going to go ahead and try to get the kids back to normalcy. Thankfully the snow didn't create too much more trouble, although it did take my hubs 2 hours to get home last night. ugh. Roads are clear of it today.

I like Peppermint Patties if I just eat one. If I go for the second I always regret it : )
