WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE

Thank you Joyce for being a gracious host.

1.  In what ways do you indulge yourself?
I get my nails done twice a week and a pedicure once a month.

2.  Have you ever taken a cooking class?  Any interest?  What type of class would you most like to try?
I have not. I do like to cook. I like to try new things.  My boys both have different tastes, so it is a struggle to find something they both will like.

3. What does it mean to be a good citizen?
A good citizen is also a good person with a good heart.  If you treat others the way you'd like to be treated, then the world would be a much better place.

4.  'Tis the season of the political advert...do these ads influence your vote?
No, if fact they discourage me.  I do not like the amount of negativity and finger pointing.  I'd like to hear the truth!

5.  What's something you see today that makes you wish you were a kid again?
The news reported this morning that Charlie Brown is being re-made into a movie.  I'm excited about that.  It was a part of my childhood that give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

6.  What's your least favorite cliche?
I'm sorry for you loss, but you know, it was meant to be.

7.  What percentage of your Christmas shopping has been completed?  How does that make you feel?
A big fat ZERO!  Hasn't affected me yet. Ask me on Christmas Eve!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
BRANDON SCORED A GOAL FROM THE BLUE LINE DURING THE LAST HOCKEY GAME!  YAHOOOOOO!

  1. Love having my nails done but I just can't justify the expense so I rarely do it.

  6. I found out that I just simply can't do pedicures. First, I'm not a feet person at all. And second, my feet are so ticklish that the last time I got one, I nearly kicked the poor girl off her stool! lol It was a reflex, really, it had nothing to do with her work. But after that I decided it was safer for everyone if I just didn't do pedicures. lol

    1. I'm ticklish too. It takes all I have not to kick the poor girl in the face.

  8. Awesome shot!!! on the backhand, or slapshot? gimme gimme details...I'm hockeyless here!! LOL

I have some of my Christmas shopping done....and it was free! So far. My mom picked up a whole bunch of stuff for the kids because a toy store in her town was closing and had up to 70% off on some items. Score!

I'm indulging in a hot mug of hot cocoa right now. that's all I got.

    1. Slapshot! It was the coolest thing EVer! He plays defense, so he doesn't always get the chance to score. Mama is proud!!!

  11. Twice a week! Wow, most people go every two weeks. I do get a pedicure every 5 to 6 weeks. The ads to me just sound like bullying so what are they teaching our children. "It was meant to be" is a bunch of crap. I know I will always be done by Christmas Eve unless I am sick!

  12. Twice a week - you have that one nailed.
It's late and my puns have deteriorated. Sorry but but you know, it was meant to be.

  13. great answers...did you mean twice a month for nails or really twice a week. I hope if I get this job I can do both those once a month. Now it's more like once a year. There are only 10 more Thursdays until Christmas...just saying! Have a great day!

  14. First off, I saw your apple bundt cake above and am now wiping off the drool from my keyboard!! That looks luscious. As for this post...congrats to the score Brandon made...how exciting. You and me both on the 0% shopping for Christmas. Never did care for Charlie Brown...but maybe a movie of him would be a great thing for me to see. My kids grew up with him and his friends. Snoopy was my favorite. LOL

Ps....glad to know someone else in Blogland loves Halloween too.
