Star Trek - Tuesday Coffee Chat

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday Coffee Chat, hosted by my friend, Les.
Today's topic is 'Random Thoughts'.
Now is the chance to have your say about whatever is on your mind.
~
Right now I have Double-Chris-Hunky-Men on my mind.
~
One evening I had some free time (shocking, I know) on my hands.  I was going through movies to rent and found Star Trek, filmed in 2009.  I took a chance and rented it.

The first scene featured Chris Hemsworth.  (thumbs up on rental choice).
He dies (thumbs down).

Enter Chris Pine (thumbs up).
Enough thumbs up to continue watching….
~
As a kid I was familiar with the original Star Trek TV show, even some of the different series that followed. I wouldn't call myself a die-hard trekkie fan, but if it was on TV I would watch it.
~
As far as the 2009 movie, I really liked it.  I liked how it brought back the original characters in a way we haven't seen before and with witty humor.
~
Saturday night I went to the movies to see the sequel Star Trek: Into Darkness.
I enjoyed that movie too.

Side Note
On Friday I like to participate with Friday Fragments, hosted by Mrs. 4444s.
I look forward to Friday Fragments because it is a way to write in one post all the little random things that have been going on in your life, and yet not enough to turn into one posting.  Go over to Mrs. 4444s if you are interested in joining!

  1. Chris Pine is such a classic looking handsome, isn't he?
I'm not a Star Trek fan, but I'd watch the movie just for him :)

  2. He is a cutie! Did you see him in "This Means War"? That was an awesome chic flick. ;-)

  3. My husband may have just sqqueeeed his thanks for this Star Trek post. LOL
he also went to see the new one the other night. Came back asking me when I want to go see it.....so he can see it again. I love Simon Pegg, so that with Chris Pine hunky may just motivate me to see this one on the big screen.
Now when Hemsworth's Thor sequel hits theatres....imma gonna have to camp outside that theatre like a proper fangirl should! :)

  6. Sounds like a wonderful movie. Can't seem to watch movies of any length these days unless I can pause them.
