Chef Brandon

During our family vacation dinners are divided up so that one person isn't responsible for every meal.
Brandon volunteered to make a meal with Mommom's help.
He chose Chicken Parmesan.
It sounds like a big task for a 16 year old boy.
In reality, Brandon loves to cook.  He experiments at home a lot.
I cringe encourage with fear enthusiam when he expresses an interest.
I confess… he has become quite a good chef.
Move over Gordon Ramsey!
Brandon is in Da'House!
It was absolutely DELICIOUS!
footnote: Mommom made the side dishes.

  1. That's fabulous that he wants to cook! I think all boys should learn how to cook for themselves (real food, not just throwing a frozen pizza in the oven). Yah for Brandon! And for mom for allowing him to even though it might be messier or slower. :-)

  4. Looks great, and good for you for encouraging your son to learn his way around the kitchen. His future wife will thank you : )

  5. He could bring that dish over here anytime! I don't care to cook. Always seems like too much work when you include the clean up. I'm terrible at coordinating the various parts of the meal. For example, how do you get the fries to show up at the same time as the hamburgers? They have never met each other until coming together on the plate.

  8. Clean up is always the worst part. Brandon has a way of dirtying every dish I have too! I'm pretty good about knowing when to put things in the oven to match with whatever is on the stove. I suppose it comes from practice.
