Green with Envy {Wednesday Hodgepodge}

1. Do you have an interest in learning about your family's heritage? Why or why not? If you know a little bit about your roots, share an interesting piece of trivia or a fun fact about someone who goes way back on your family tree.
Yes I do.  I began learning and recording my family tree about ten years ago.  My grandmother knew quite a bit of information and I wanted to write it down before it was a forgotten memory.  So far I have found records dating back to 1750's.  Amazing right!?!
One scandal my grandmother told me about was pertaining to my great-grandfather.  Apparently he had a mistress in Chicago and they had a baby boy.  No one knows the names of these two people, so I haven't been able to track them down.

2. Branch Rickey, the baseball exec credited with signing Jackie Robinson, is quoted as saying-

"Luck is the residue of design."
Agree or disagree? Why?
Agree.  If you prepare and have a plan, things will fall into place.  When they do, and something good occurs, some people call it luck.

3. In the town where you currently reside, what's your favorite green space?
My back yard, my flower garden and my vegetable garden.

4. Who is your favorite comedian?
Gabriel Iglesias

5. March is National Nutrition Month, and almost everyone needs to improve their diet in some way.  What about you? How can you improve your nutrition on a daily basis? Will you try?
I have started drinking more water and less soda. If you read my science experiment I had with my preschool, it explains why.
I am going back to the gym too.  I watch what I eat when I go to the gym.  I'll pass on something like a piece of cake because I don't like burning the calories.

6. Which of these green expressions have you 'experienced' in recent weeks -green with envy, green thumb, green around the gills, or give the green light? Explain.
Green with envy.  My son is attending college in Florida and it sunny and warm there {sigh} compared to the cold, snowy environment in Pennsylvania.

7. Where is one place you don't mind waiting?
I don't have patience when it comes to waiting in line, waiting my turn or waiting for the weekend to roll around.  I do not mind waiting for the bills to come in the mail though.  They can take their good ole, sweet time to find their way into my mailbox.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
I am green with envy when it comes to Adam Levine's fiancee.

  1. Oooh Yeah, Gabriel Iglesias, is so hilarious. He did a full set in Hawaii and I couldn't stop laughing. I, too, would be jealous of your son!
