Camp Out For Hunger

WMMR 93.3 The local Philadelphia radio statio that I listen to is WONDERFUL with community service projects. This years "Preston and Steve's Camp Out for Hunger" begins December 1st at the Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting. All donation benefit Philabundance .

The people who come to these agencies for food are often feeding a family with children. Donating the healthy food items that most families buy to feed children and teens will help our agencies the most. It is also better to donate an item in a size that can feed an entire family, rather than in individual serving sizes. Volunteer for Philabundance. Yes, Preston & Steve actually live in an RV the entire week - thanks to White Horse RV in Williamstown, NJ for donating the use of the RV - check em out HERE, and broadcast their show each morning from the Metroplex. Why? Because there are hungry people in the Delaware Valley in need of food. We've got some special events as well, listed lowDonations are accepted Monday through Thursday from 6am to about 9pm, and Friday, December 5th from 6am to 10am. Acceptable and most needed non-perishable food items include: (Pop Top Lids are always welcome) Canned / Shelf Stable Tuna, Canned Beef Stew, Canned Chili, Canned Pasta, Beef Ravioli, 100% Fruit & Vegetable Juice (Shelf Stable, Cans or Plastic Bottles only), Creamy Peanut Butter (Plastic Containers only), Jelly (Plastic Containers only), Mac & Cheese, Canned Pork & Beans/Baked Beans, Canned Green Beans, Canned Corn, Canned Fruit Cocktail, Breakfast Cereal or Hot Cereal, Boxed Sugar and non-perishables that won't go bad too soon.
