Kicking off the Holiday Season.....

10 things about me-Christmas version

What is your favorite Christmas movie?

It's a Wonderful Life starring James Staurt and Donna Reed (1946)

What is your favorite Christmas song?
Silent Night.  I always enjoyed how peaceful the song was on Christmas eve while singing at church, with lights dimmed, holding candles.

Do you have a nativity scene?
Yes.  My mom bought me the set the first year Todd and I were married in 1994.
My grandfather made the stable.

What is your favorite Christmas animation?
Rudolf the red nosed reindeer!

What is your favorite childhood Christmas memory?
My father going outside our bedroom window and shaking bells.  My sisters and I would look out the window up into the sky and shout "I see Santa on his sleigh!"

What is your most memorable gift?
One summer Todd and I were in Gettysburg, PA.  We stopped in a store that was entirely dedicated to dollhouses.  I mentioned how wonderful they were.  Todd remembered this and bought me a dollhouse kit, that we built together.

Do you have any Christmas traditions?
When our boys were younger we would make a birthday cake and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas.  Also, the boys had to wait at the top of steps while Mommy and Daddy checked to make sure that Santa came.  We lit the Christmas tree and got the camera ready before we would shout "Santa was here!" It was precious to see the excitement on their faces as they raced down the steps.

Do you have a special Christmas wish this year?
For the homeless to have a warm, happy place to spend not only on Christmas but all winter long.

If you could have anything for Christmas what would it be?
To get a new car for my husband.  His is a Honda CRV that could probably run forever, but the air-conditioning needs to be repaired and the car has seen to many miles to count!

If you could spend Christmas anywhere, where would it be?
Germany with Pia and my family.

Happy Holidays!!

You are going to make a wish come true for a homeless soul for Christmas soon.... xo

  2. Love uh! I'm with Ina the ringing of the bells is classic I wish I thought of that when Katelyn was little! I have a long list of Christmas DVD we's my favorite thing to do. Love the original Miracle on 34th Street.
    Have a great day!

  3. Jingling bells outside your window, that's awesome! And I love how you used to be the ones to check for Santa. At our house, the wee ones wake up first and creep down and TRY to not wake us up too early, but ... yeah. :)

  4. Hallo Tami,

schöne Antworten, ich mag das Wihnachtslied auch besonders gerne, wir singen das hier auch in der Kirche. Den Film mag ich auch gerne, ein total schöner Weihnachtsfim.

  5. How special to have the manger your dad made. My favorite Christmas movie is White Christmas and/or A Christmas Story. Can't wait to get my girls home and watch with them!
