Good Morning Monday! :-)

Summer vacation has officially began in our household. The boys were done school since last week. Hubby's last day teaching at his high school was Friday.
I'm the only one who works.  Doesn't seem fair - Right?

All the guys get to sleep in this Monday… but me? …. I get up bright and early at 6AM

I shower, do my hair, brush my teeth, clean the cat litter, (wash hands) eat toast for breakfast, wipe down all the kitchen counters and load the dishwasher (boys tend to dirty the kitchen overnight like little demons), and do a quick vacuum.  Sometimes I get to enjoy a cup of hot tea.
All before the first child arrives at 7:30am.

Monday is my busy day-care day.  I have six little ones all under the age of three.
Most are potty trained (thank GOD!)

I'm not going to go into the details of how busy my day is with them.  Let's just say by the time the last one leaves at 5:30… I AM EXHAUSTED!

But WAIT!

I still have to make dinner!

Mama asks: "Do you boys want pizza?"

8 pretty purplexing comments:

  1. GREAT idea for dinner after a BUSY day. PIZZA it is. LOL My BFF is much older than you and she watches that many young ones too. You ladies IMHO are saints. Have you ever considered taking the summer off?

  2. Granted it's just DH and me, but one of the things I hated most about going back to work last year was having to get up when DH didn't. It didn't seem fair to be the only one who had to get up. ;-)

6 little ones > 3 y.o. That would make for one busy day! Pizza is the only natural choice! ha!

  3. You are a saint to watch 3year olds...I hope they nap!! Happy Monday! Pizza sounds perfect!

  4. Wow I am exhausted!! And I just woke up!!

Sounds like the men in your house might have to become dinner chefs (just sayin)!!

  5. You are wonder woman! 6 kids all under three? Just reading that made me tired! haha Happy Monday!

  6. P.s. passed a blog award on to you!

  7. The work you do between 6:30 and 7:30 would take me at least to noon. I don't recall the ages of your boys but loading a dishwasher is not too difficult for 9, 10 or older kids. Unloading is a little more difficult since you need to know and be able to reach all the places for things. Now I'll admit to be a general slacker myself but the dishwasher is no big deal to me. Even most of the laundry is not a big deal except all those special delicate things.

  8. I will say that when working I HATED summer for that very reason. My husband and the wee ones were home and slept in and did fun stuff and I was out the door by 6:15. I feel your pain.... And OH the dinner thing would tick me off, too. I'm driving home at 5:30 or 6 and get the phone call asking what I was making for dinner.
