Mr. Sun, sun… please shine down on me!

Sunshine Award

Its a rainy day, dark clouds covering the sky. We are waiting for hurricane Sandy to
hit on Monday with winds up to 60mph. We brought in all the outdoor furnishings,
bought batteries for the flashlights, went grocery shopping for a necessary food.
I even had to bring in all the Halloween decorations, for fear they will blow away.
Hopefully our power doesn't go out because we do not have a generator.

But Audrey from Break it, Make it, or Bake it was out spreading sunshine and has given
 me the Sunshine Award.

The rules are to answer the 8 questions, and then spread some sunshine to 8 other
bloggers that you think are awesome!

Here it goes....

1. What is your favorite Christmas / Holiday Movie?
It's A Wonderful Life.  It's a oldie, but a goodie. I never get tired of it and watch it
every Christmas Eve while wrapping the last of the Christmas gifts.

2. What is your favorite flower?
Anything Puprle!

3. What is your favorite (non-alcoholic) drink?
Diet Pepsi.

4. What is your passion?
Scrapbooking (even though I haven't had time to work on it recently). Watching Ice
Hockey (even though the NHL is having another lockout).  Eating Italian food (even
though it puts on the pounds).  Coach Bags (even though they are very, very expensive)!

5. What is your favorite time of the year?
Summer! I love being outside and feeling the sun on my face!

6. What is your favorite time of the day?
I am a morning person. That is when I have the most energy.  I admit, I run out of that
energy by 2pm. I am glad for nap time.

7. What is your favorite physical activity?
I like to walk with the dogs.  I go to the gym, but don't exactly enjoy it.

8. What is your favorite vacation?
Without kids, Ireland! 10 whole days with adult time.
With kids Ocean City, NJ.  It is an annual tradition to go there every year with my husbands family.

I am passing this award on to:
1. Katherine at A Life Worth Living
2. Kathy at Empty Nest Full of Heart
3. Kerry at It's The Little Things
4. Lynn Marie at Life through Bifocals
5. Laura at A Day in the life of the Railings
6. Marla at Marla's Musings
7. Jhona at We Weirdos Need to Stick Together
8. Debby at Just Breathe

  1. Tami, congrats on the award. Stay safe. We got very lucky with this storm looks like the north will have it much worth... I'll be thinking of you.

  2. Good luck & be safe! Sandy looks to create havoc in the area...thinking of you all... Hugs xoxo

  3. You are smart to be ready. I did the same yesterday! I called my younger sister in NJ and ask if she was getting ready for storm and she was like what storm? REALLY!! She likes to play the martyr! They are talking wet heavy snow for us by Wednesday....I just hope we don't lose power generator here either!

    1. What storm?? OMG! It's only been on the news all week. DE, PA and NJ are supposed to be hit the hardest.
SNOW?! Ugh! Don't want to think of that yet. Happy Weekend!!! xo

  4. Thank you, Tami! Be safe and I pray that the storm will be as gentle as those type of storms can be. I agree that it's so great to be prepared!!! Thank you again for the sweet award. I enjoy your blog very much! Be safe!!

  5. Congrats on the Award!
Ditto on the It's A Wonderful Life...I never miss it. ZooZoo's nickname came from "ZooZoo's petals".

    Hockey *lesigh* also, greed. ack

Stay safe down there! Our own weather is all off kilter because of the storm. incredible how far reaching a weather system can be.

  6. Thank you for the award Aunt Tami!

  7. Thank you for my award. I will certainly play along, I just don't pass them on hard to choose people but I do ask others to play along and they normally do. I won't have to change a thing about question #1, that would be my exact answer. Thanks again for thinking of me :)

  8. Stay safe and warm, my friend...I'll be thinking of you.

  9. I'm all about nap time at 2pm. It should be written into labor law that we all get the option of a 2pm nap!

  10. Congrats on your award Tami and thank you for passing it on to me!!
I hope everything is ok with you guys with the hurricane hanging about, how scary for you all!! :(
I bought It's A Wonderful Life last Christmas and still haven't watched it, I will get on to that real soon with November around the corner it is justifiable to start watching Christmas movies :)
Stay safe and thanks again xo

  11. Diet Dr. Pepper is the beverage of choice here. I love scrapbooking, but haven't done it in several years. I need to make time!

  12. It's good to be prepared but we all hope Sandy is not too bitchy. The "Wonderful Life" had a different type of housing crisis than the one back in 2008. Interesting that you listed two types of vacations.
