Hello November

November 1st is my favorite day of the year.
Hubby asked me what I wanted for my birthday.
Do you think this is asking for too much?
I didn't think so either.
Just imagine, unwrapping this gift would be very *ahem* entertaining.
My son thought of me early this morning and sent me this text.
Yesterday I went to the dentist and had a cavity filled.
It's only my second cavity ever. I don't want to get anymore!
My son and his girlfriend broke up after three years of dating.
I've been going through withdrawals. I really liked her.
She used to help me with the daycare kids when she got home from school.
The kids have been asking about her. They really miss her too.
Tonight my family and our best friends are going to celebrate my birthday by going out to dinner (and mostly likely drinking a bottle -or two- of wine)!
Happy Friday Friends.

  1. Happy Birthday Tami! Only two cavity's holy wow! I won't tell you about my implants:(
Hmmm that would be a great gift!

I wish our youngest son would break up once and for all with his girl friend. No one in our family likes her not even the little kids and dogs. Sad.

If your two were meant to be they will get back together. It is all kind of awkward when that happens.
    Have a great weekend.

  2. Happy birthday to you! I agree about your gift choice. Very nice. Three years is a long time to have someone around. I can see how that would be a big change for you as well as your son. I hope they can both move on without too much anguish. I do not miss the dating years. Enjoy your birthday evening out!

  3. I hope your Birthday weekend is the best.....don't be mad if Adam is late after all I had him for my Birthday and we are having so much fun! lol don't i wish! much love and happiness in the next year!

  4. Enjoy your birthday celebration. Enjoy your wine. You deserve it.

  5. Just popped over to say Happy Birthday! hope you're having a fun night!
ooohhh, too bad about your son's girl. I never thought about that side - I usually worry about what if I DON'T like them girl friends. not that I might really like her and my son would break up with her. drat. Well, I got a few years yet to work it out since he's only 9. ha

  6. I'm glad you had a great birthday, not too much to ask but I hear there's a waiting list. ha ha

  7. Guess I better get in line if I want him for my birthday next year. LOL

  8. Thank you for the birthday wishes.
I always worried I wouldn't like the girl too. Now that he is single again, I wonder once again, if I will like the next one.
You, my dear, have quite a few years to go!

  9. Oh Kathy, how can I be mad at a woman who has the same taste in men as me?
    I love you sweet lady!

  10. Thanks Dawn!
Change can be hard, but also can be good. One of life's lessons my son needed to go through. As a mother, it's hard to watch him hurt. =(
    Birthday dinner was great!!

  11. That has to be tough to be around a girlfriend no one likes. Even the dog? jeesh, she must be a winner!
    Enjoy your weekend too.

  12. Happy Birthday!!! Hope you had a nice dinner. Sorry about the break up. My daughter and SIL are separated now for 2 months, it is all so depressing.

  13. Happy Birthday long relationships do get the whole family involved which makes the break up even tougher.
Take it, ignore it, or maybe already know, advice - don't let yourself compare the next girlfriend to the old one unless he asks you.

  14. I imagine the line would be reminiscent of a black Friday Walmart line. Only lots of Victoria's Secret models there.
