Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve went spent an evening with friends eating a homemade dinner, enjoying dessert and playing card games.

The yummy Santa snack didn't last long. It was THAT good!
  • strawberries
  • 100ml cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • mini chocolate chips
  1. Whip the cream with the vanilla until soft peaks form.
  2. Put the cream in a piping bag fitted with a star tip (or use a sandwich bag and cut a tip off).
  3. Wash and dry the strawberries then cut the hulls off so that they stand up.
  4. Slice them in half and pipe some cream on top.
  5. Put the ‘hat’ back on and pipe a little more cream on the top.
  6. Add mini chocolate chips for eyes.

  1. Sounds like a fun evening and the strawberries are so cute!

  2. love them! I did a few of these too, but my top strawberry kept sliding off. so I ate them.
    worked out well. LOL
Our family always has various card tables set up and people play euchre or 31.

  3. Did you use whipped cream? Use cream cheese instead. It's a thicker consistency. We play a game called "Things". It's hilarious when you have a group of 6 people or more.

  4. I made the strawberries for my daycare kids (minus the chocolate chip eyes). My BFF did the Strawberry Santa's in the pictures I posted. She's much more talented than I am at things like that.

  5. Nice time. We played some games on Christmas evening. Game playing can be fun for a range of ages.

  6. Playing games together is always so much fun! The Santa snack looks delish! I think I saw that idea on Pinterest. Glad you enjoyed your Christmas. Wishing you the best in 2014!

  7. I love christmas game playing ~ everyone is unplugged and enjoying each others company!! We spent christmas night playing pictionary ~ cheating and laughing the whole time.
    Have a great new year!!!

  8. Those are so cute! Looks like a fun time.
