Ice Cold {Wednesday Hodgepodge}

1. Do you believe in miracles?
Absolutely! I also believe things happen for a reason.  A perfect example I can think of is when my oldest was 5 years old and recently diagnosed with ADHD.  Back in 1995 much was not known about ADHD and I was literally freaking out.  At the same time I took a part-time job working in a nursery for a church other than my own.  The woman who ran the program knew a lot about ADHD, encouraged me not to be afraid and showed me where to begin in order to help my son.  God answered my prayers and sent me an angel.  A few months later my church offered me a position in their nursery.  I took that job and sadly, never saw my angel again.  Although her spirit remained with me.

2. What's a recent fad you admit to trying?
Twitter.   I try to keep up with it, but I just don't seem to get the hang of it.

3. Peppermint-are you a fan? If so, what's your favorite food or beverage containing peppermint?
Neutral I think.  I don't love it, nor hate it.  I do like peppermint gum.  I also use peppermint, eucalyptus and lavender oils when I have a head cold.  It's an alternative way to help clear up congestion without the use of so many medications.

4. Break the ice, on thin ice, as cold as ice (emotionally, not literally)...which phrase have you run into most recently? Explain.
Break the ice explains my husband.  He has a great sense of humor and gets a long with anyone.
On thin ice describes my son, who is currently grounded.
Cold as ice is how I would describe myself.  I hide my emotions from most people and can sometimes be hard to read.
Now, cold as ice… literally… YEP! That's definitely ME!  My husband shouts very loudly complains when cold hands and feet get in the vicinity of him under the bed covers.

5. Have you ever broken or spilled something in someone else's home? Still friends?
OMG! YES!  It's usually wine. LOL

6.  'Tis the week before Christmas...are you feeling more like Buddy the Elf or theGrinch before his heart grew?
Grinch.  I get stressed out trying to make everyones Christmas a perfect one. You'd think I'd learn after all these years…. but the perfectionist in me doesn't give in very easily.

7. Share a favorite quote relating to Christmas.
8.  Insert your own random thought here.

  4. I'm not afraid to let everyone know I'm feeling 'grinchy'. heehee
I thought for sure the young girl, Jackie would win. I'm glad it was Adam's team that won though! Can you give me a whoot.whoot!

  5. I am IN the ice - literally - as it is cold enough to start making my ice sculptures again. they are star shaped and I have added food colouring to the water in the mold; so I will have red, blue, green and yellow star lanterns on my walkway on Christmas Eve.
yeah, that perfectionist thing; you so get me :)

  6. As fun as it sounds to make star lanterns… I think I'll stay inside my warm house. Although, you now have my interest peaked. How do you make star lanterns?

  14. #7 I love that quote!
    I'm not a big Twitter-er either.
