TGIF

HEATWAVE
This week our area has been in a god awful heatwave.  It is days like these that I wish we had a pool.  The kids and I have to settle for the kiddie pool and sprinkler.
That goes for Teddy too.

4TH OF JULY
Our local town did not have fireworks this year, due to lack of funds.
That's sad.
As far back as I can remember there were always fireworks.
It didn't stop us from having fun.
Our family got together with my BFFs family and the boys set off their own fireworks.

THINGS IN MY BACKYARD
Baby Robins in a bush next to my deck.
My black lab, Ellie found them and would not leave them alone.
Mama and Papa Robins were doing nose dives at Ellie.
 Hydrangea Bush
(of course it's purple)
The last I counted there were six frogs in my pond.
(do you see the little one under the lilly pad)
~
MY MOMMOM
It was nice visiting my grandmother.
She lives in an assisted living home about an hour away, so I don't get to see her often.

THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY SON
He sent me a text saying: "I like poop".

Happy Birthday Ahren!

Family and friends joined Ahren in celebrating his birthday at his favorite restaurant, Red Lobster.

He was embarrassed and surprised that we sang Happy Birthday to him in the middle of a restaurant.
 Probably more embarrassed!
Definitely more embarrassed!

Let's Play Crochet

One of the games we played on the 4th of July was crochet.
Brandon showed cousins: Max, Morgan and Tyce how to hit the balls through the hoops.
Tyce was getting the hang of hitting the ball.
I'm pretty sure Max beat Brandon… although he wouldn't admit that.
Morgan was doing very well, even holding the club in a unique way.
Yes, Max is definitely winning!
Tyce figured out he could just move his ball by picking it up.
Why hit it with the stick if you can win by moving the ball?

Happy Birthday & Happy Fourth

23 Years   at 11:10PM my first baby boy was born. 7 lbs, 21 inches.
Ahren Paul Miller

I fondly refer to him at 'Mommy's Firecracker'.

Ahren with my nephew, Tyce. Tyce helped blow out the candles.
Watch the video below to see how much fun it was!

Hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July!
