Pia

Dieses ist Pia. Meine angenommene Tochter aus Deutschland. Ich kann nicht warten, um sie am Montag zu sehen. Pia, ich liebe dich!

TGIF

This is my last week at work. I've been training a new gal who is picking up the business very quickly. I have been very busy and haven't had much time to be on the computer. I thought I would be anxious about giving up control of the work I have done for so many years. I find that I am excited about not coming to the office anymore, dealing with the stress! YaHOO!
Next week Todd and I are going to New York to visit a girl named Pia. Pia is a german student who stayed with us two years ago. She is bringing her Mom to see New York and to meet us. I can't wait to see Pia again! I loved having Pia stay with us and showing her all the sites around us. We even shopped and cooked together. It was like having a daughter. Since I only have boys, having a girl in the house was very cool!
After Easter is when I start watch Zoey. I also have two more children in the works. I will be talking to the mother in the upcoming days. Everything seems to be coming together. I am smiling inside and out!!
Have a great day!

Hockey Clinic

Did you really believe me when I said I was done posting hockey pictures????? ummmm.... sorry! Brandon attended a checking hockey clinic with two friends, Jack and Zak. It was really cool to watch the boys learn something, but also have a lot of fun. At the end of the night the coach ran a drill called the gauntlet. Other hockey moms will know what I mean. All the boys line up against the wall and one boy tries to make it through one end to the other, while being checked! Brandon was one of the few who made it through without falling down. It was cool to hear the parents cheer "MOOSE!" as he passed by! I am such a proud Mom!

Chocolate Bunny

When my sisters and I were kids my mom had these ceramic chocolate bunnies with our names on it. I found on Hershey Chocolate website that you can order real chocolate bunnies with names on them. How cool is that??

Antics of Ellie

Ellie was after a rabbit or ground hog in the back yard where I work. I caught her in action and took pictures through a window.

Antics of Ellie

While I was waiting for Brandon and Zachary's lacrosse practice to be over, Ellie waited patiently in the van. I was outside of the van talking to another parent.
Everyone knows Grover from Sesame Street, right? He is my favorite character and I had a small stuffed version of him on my dash board. When I opened the van to check on my beloved dog, I had found she decided to play with Grover. Grover was in between Ellies paws, stuffing hanging from her mouth. Grover had a hole where one eye used to be. "Oh No!" I shouted at Ellie, who looked up at me with beautiful brown eyes. If she could talk she would be saying "But I was just playing Mommy."
Grover now sports a fancy eye patch made out of a candy wrapper and rubber band.

New Grill

Saturday was a beautiful day. We wanted to cook on the grill, but over the winter we had a very bad wind storm and our grill blew off our deck and down the steps! Yes this really happened! So, we went out shopping for a new grill and found a great deal. This one was discounted down to $325 because it has a bent piece around the wheel cover. It is an awesome grill and I could care less if there is a dent in it! So we brought it home proud of our new purchase.

Todd wanted a card rematch since the girls were up 3 games to 1. The Feltenbergers came over and we grilled steaks and corn. I also made baked potatoes, broccoli and bread. The night was starting out so good....

I lit a fire in the pit to enhance the mood! I love the smell of a fire.

Todd and Chad went to check on the steaks and the grill had melted our siding! The guys didn't pull the grill out far enough. Apparently our new grill gets MUCH hotter than our old one!

And to top it off ~ poor Todd ~ the girls won at cards AGAIN! WAHOO!

Spring is here, so is Lacrosse!

Hockey season has ended and so has those endless picture I was posting! However; lacrosse season has begun and you will have to put up with more pictures, just a different sport. Sorry gang, but I love to show off my boys! Have a wonderful day!

Cody and Brandon having a catch. Cody is a former neighbor from our old neighborhood. Also a boy I used to watch when he was 1 years old until he entered Kindergarten.

Brandons hockey buddy: Zak, joined the lacrosse team this year.

My Moose! Not as funny as Ina's Moose in her back yard, but just as cute!

Big People Fun

It was nice to be able to have some "big people" time away from the kids! Saturday night we played Pinochle with the Feltenbergers and Orendorffs. The girls against the guys. Guess What! The GIRLS WON! Wa-hoo! Todd wanted a rematch. Sunday evening we played again with the Feltenbergers. AND the GIRLS WON AGAIN!
BRING IT ON BOYS!

Hockey Tournament

Brandon's team fought so hard! They won three games on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday afternoon was the champship game. VFC lost to the Reading Royals. How sad to watch them get second place after playing their hearts out! I am so proud of my son!

Did you notice the pink on Brandon's stick? Pink is his favorite color!
