Ellie and the Birds

Do you remember my dog, Ellie and her saga with a frog? If not, you can read it  HERE.
The story continues with the birds…
There once was a dog named Ellie
Ellie loves to chase the birds.
The birds chirp in the trees and laugh,
"You can't catch me!"
Birds sit on a garden post asking,
"How fast can you be?"
Another takes a bath,
right in front of Ellie.
Ellie jumps and barks right back,
"I only want to play, Bird-ee!"

Family Reunion

A family reunion was overdue for the Miller clan!  It was great catching up with cousins, aunts and uncles and a whole new generation of little ones.
Todd's parents and cousins.
 Our family.
In case you are wondering:
YES, it was over 90+ degrees outside and Zachary was wearing a winter beanie and sweatshirt.

Todd's brother, wife and nephew.

More cousins.
~
Don't we all have one of these characters in every family?
 ~

There was a really cool playground that the kids (and even teenagers) played on!

~
The pavilion was really nice with charcoal grills, picnic tables
and even electric outlets to plug in crock pots.
Zachary used it to plug in his laptop. (wish I got a picture of that!)

~
How about you? Have you gone to any family reunions recently?

Happy Anniversary to my Husband

July 23, 1994
We were much younger then.
Both of us had a dream to make a great life and a happy family.
The day of our anniversary reminds me that I am the luckiest woman on the earth to be married to a man who makes me as proud as my husband does.

He is my rock, my comfort, my everything.
He has helped me become the woman I am today.
I am so thankful to this wonderful man.
Looks like we are in it for the long haul.
=)
Happy Anniversary!

TGIF

HEATWAVE
This week our area has been in a god awful heatwave.  It is days like these that I wish we had a pool.  The kids and I have to settle for the kiddie pool and sprinkler.
That goes for Teddy too.

4TH OF JULY
Our local town did not have fireworks this year, due to lack of funds.
That's sad.
As far back as I can remember there were always fireworks.
It didn't stop us from having fun.
Our family got together with my BFFs family and the boys set off their own fireworks.

~
THINGS IN MY BACKYARD
Baby Robins in a bush next to my deck.
My black lab, Ellie found them and would not leave them alone.
Mama and Papa Robins were doing nose dives at Ellie.
 Hydrangea Bush
(of course it's purple)
The last I counted there were six frogs in my pond.
(do you see the little one under the lilly pad)
~
MY MOMMOM
It was nice visiting my grandmother.
She lives in an assisted living home about an hour away, so I don't get to see her often.
~
THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY SON
He sent me a text saying: "I like poop".

Jenga XL

During a high school graduation party a home-made XL Jenga game was a 'big' hit.
Who doesn't have one of these stored in their closet?
During the game, players take turns to remove a block from the tower
and placing it on top
creating a taller and unstable structure
as the game progresses.
The game ends when the tower falls.
The original Jenga is a Hasbro game.

Blog-Pen-Pals

I have some pretty amazing blog friends!
Not only do we have a friendship through blogging, but also through snail-mail.
Kerry made this beautiful picture and frame with my blog name.
She also sent me really cool gifts from Australia.
The Snickers and Cadbury chocolate bar were eaten in no time at all.
=)
Audrey knows how much I love Snickers and sent me T.W.O. bags from the west coast to the east coast of the USA!
Notice one of the bags was opened before I even took the picture.
=)
The best gift is the friendships I have made with both of these awesome ladies!
I am blessed to have formed friendships with Kerry and Audrey, even though we have never met in person.
Sending Hugs and Kisses!

How about you? Who have you formed relationships with through blogging?
