I didn't panic, but my adrenilin did get kicking. First I took him to Joettes house because her sister, Nikki is a nurse. I wanted to get an opinion to see if he needed stiches. Nikki works at Premier Medical Care, which is like an emergeny room if your doctors office is closed. Joette said Nikki was working, but they closed at 9pm. (It was now almost 10pm). Joette called Nikki and she got permission from the doctor to bring Zachary right in! I was so grateful! Nikki cleaned up his knee and the doctor put in 5 stiches. He got an x-ray of the thumb, but everything checked out okay.
Zach can't play lacrosse for a week, until the stiches are out. He is so bored right now, he is driving us crazy!!
Oh my goodness! Good thing you have connections!
ReplyDelete1 week down is tough but it could have been worse. Best wishes to Zach!
Accck, you must have got a terrible fright when you saw it? One week isn't too long, but I guess to a young person it feels like forever...
ReplyDeletePoor Zack! All will be well soon.... thankfully it was not worse. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh ouch! Good to know things won't fall apart if you aren't around ;) I want my wee ones to enjoy athletics and take part in them, but injuries are definitely what I fear the most! I'm glad this was a relatively minor one.
ReplyDeleteThe tooth is the bad part! Sorry to hear about his fall. I hope he is healing up nice.
ReplyDeleteI have been so lazy with blogging! I hope to get motivated soon. I enjoy checking in on your blog though.
Happy Wednesday!
Yikes! I am not ready for those kind of boo -boos! Glad it was not too serious!
