Last song...

If there was one song that you could listen to for the rest of your days; or, it was the last song you'd ever hear: What song would you play?

I would pick our wedding song: Beautiful in my Eyes by Joshua Kadison.

You're my peace of mind in this crazy world.
You're everything I've tried to find, your love is a pearl.
You're my Mona Lisa, you're my rainbow skies,
and my only prayer is that you realize
you'll always be beautiful in my eyes.

The world will turn and the seasons will change,
and all the lessons we will learn will be beautiful and strange.
We'll have our fill of tears, our share of sighs.
And my only prayer is that you realize
you'll always be beautiful in my eyes.

You will always be beautiful in my eyes.
And the passing years will show
that you will always grow ever more beautiful in my eyes.

When there are lines upon my face from a lifetime of smiles,
and when the time comes to embrace for one long last while,
we can laugh about how time really flies.
We won't say goodbye 'cause true love never dies.
You'll always be beautiful in my eyes.

You will always be beautiful in my eyes.
And the passing years will show
that you will always grow ever more beautiful in my eyes.
The passing years will show that you will always grow
ever more beautiful in my eyes.

  1. I know you didn't write the question but I'm a bit confused by it. Does it ask what is the most inspirational song, the loveliest one, most memorable? Listening to the same song for the rest of my days sounds like hell. The last song I ever hear (before hearing aids?, death?) - what's that mean. I understand your memory connection to a wedding song. I have a special song that was played at my mother's funeral. I just don't understand the question. Here's two favorites I have - White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane and Still Crazy After All These Years by Paul Simon.

  5. Corny, but I could listen to Louie Armstrong's "Wonderful Life" all day long. It makes me smile.

  6. I suppose it could what ever your want it to be. It's an open question and you can answer it anyway you want. You'll have to take it up with Leslie (who came up with the question). LOL

  7. I love this. It might be my new favourite song. So romantic, and the lyrics are just awesome.
A very good choice! I kinda want to get married again just so I can have this song! (to Left Brain of course --- break in a new man? ugh. haha)
