Musical Talent

When I was in 4th grade I wanted to play the saxaphone so bad! Around the same time I had to go into the hospital to have my tonsils removed was the time you had to sign up to play in the band. I couldn't remember the name of the sax, so I tried (as any 8 year old could) to explain to my mom what I wanted to play. She ended up purchasing a clarinet and I was devestated!

From the time I was in 4th grade until I graduated in 12th grade, I played the clarient. I have to admit, I was pretty good at it and enjoyed playing too. Now 20 some years later, I dusted off my clarient and attempted to play a song. I found I could play, but forgot how to read the music. UG!

Brandon is now takinging weekly lessons on how to play the electric guitar. He has learned several cords and practices every night. He tries to show me what he has learned. You can see the excitement in his eyes. I'm so proud of him!

  2. That is so cool Brandon is taking guitar. My one son wants to take lessons too. We just don't have the time for them.
I don't know why my site is not coming up and white for some. It is fine for me, but need to refresh sometimes. Any ideas why?

  4. Kathy: are you laughing at me? :) I really was devestated at the time. Worst thing was my tonsils were just removed and I couldn't TALK! :))
