TGIF

My oldest son stopped in yesterday during his lunch hour.  Ahren works for a pest control company.  He was explaining to me that his first job of the day was baiting a farm for rats.  He left the bed of the truck open because he was taking things on and off of it.  He came out of the barn to get more supplies and saw a goat on the back of his truck.  Yes people, you read right!  A GOAT!  Ahren tried getting the goat down, but he was stubborn and wouldn't budge.  Ahren had to call the office and get another technician help him get the goat off the truck.  When the farmer returned and Ahren told him what happened, the farmer replied "Oh yes, the goat likes to take rides in my truck".  huh?

I went to Staples to get a bunch of things laminated for my daycare.  The Staples employee ended up laminating three things on top of one another.  Sorry Staples…. THAT WAS N.O.T. EASY!

Brandon had a hockey game Wednesday night.  I know I am his mother and I know I am supposed to be supportive.  Sorry baby, but your on-ice performance sucked!  Go get 'um next time!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

  11. Love the goat story. I wonder if he had given the goat a short ride then the satisfied goat would have hopped off. You know my first name is commonly associated with goats.

  20. It's always fun to get surprise packages in the mail! Forget the goat-you lost me at rat baits. I'm glad there are people who take care of removing unwanted critters. Probably a full time job on a farm! Have a nice weekend!

  21. They were able to fix it. It doesn't look as good as it should but its better than being ruined. They game me $10 back for the inconvience.

  23. Rats, yuk! I know! They are attracted to the grain you feel the cows. Bait stations are placed around the barn area to try to control it. Disgusting. I was an office manger for years before I got my Childhood Ed degree. So I know WAY to much about rodents. :)

Even moms have to call it like they see it.

Doesn't the goat in the truck make you think of an old, off color farmer joke with sheep?? Maybe it's an Iowa farm kids sick humor thing.
